GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 22, 2022) – Mark Dobmeier is ready to kick off the first of four consecutive nights of racing at his second home track, Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.
All four events will be World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series sanctioned with tonight’s program being the make-up event to the June 5th postponement. Thursday throug Saturday’s races will be the inaugural High Bank Nationals, which boasts a $100,000 payday to the winner on Saturday night. This will be the highest paying event in the history of South Dakota auto racing.
Dobmeier has three top 10 finishes at Huset’s Speedway this season in five starts. Dobmeier has beaten the Outlaws twice in his career at Huset’s. Those big wins came in 2012 and 2014.
Last weekend, Dobmeier was in action with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints for a three race weekend. Friday and Saturday night were at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota.
The driver of the Buffalo Wild Wings / Lunstra Motorsports backed No. 13 was the hard charger of the feature on Friday night, advancing 11 positions from his 22nd place starting spot. On Saturday, he raced to a top 10 finish by crossing under the checkers in seventh.
On Sunday, the NOSA Sprints headed to the Brandon, S.D. three-eighths mile oval to complete the Border Battle weekend.
Dobmeier started 13th for the 25-lap feature and brought it home in ninth.
Dobmeier currently leads the NOSA Sprint Car standings by 16 points over defending series champion, Brendan Mullen. The NOSA Sprints are off until July 1st at River Cities Speedway.
